Guru – The Divine Protocol of All Times

From the beginning of the universe…
From the dawn of the existence…
The grace of (Perfect) Guru has remained alive…
And, it will continue to live & govern the Creation thus…

Right from the beginning of the creation, till today, whosoever has attained God could do so only through a True Guru. The Guru-disciple relationships of Ramakrishna-Narendra, Virjanand-Dayananda, Ashtavakra- Janaka, Janaardan-Eknath, Socrates-Plato, Jesus-Peter etc. validate the same fact. And, the series continues even today… Countless people have been blessed with the practical experience of God through Brahm Gyan (Divine Knowledge) by the benign grace of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji and are living a peaceful & blissful life.

*************************

Often people get haunted when they come across the word ‘Guru’. First of all, why do we need a Guru in life? Or, do we really need a one? If yes, then the second important question follows… How to identify a True Guru?

Here are the answers to the two main queries in the voice of our holy scriptures and the modern science.

a. WHY GURU?

To resolve the query, let’s answer on three platforms:

Scripturally...

दीक्षा विहीनस्य न सिद्धिनं च सद्गति –meaning, without the initiation into Divine knowledge (of course by a true Guru), neither spiritual perfection nor blessed state can be attained. And, if there is anyone who can bestow upon us this Divine Knowledge (direct perception of God), then he is none other than the Perfect Master of the time, who has even been glorified as 'saint', 'Poorna Guru', 'Kamil Murshid', etc.
The Gurbani (Page 59) says: 'O Siblings of Destiny, without the Guru, there is no spiritual wisdom.' The Bible says– 'No man can come to the Father except through the Son'. Here, 'Son' is a symbolic term, synonymous with spiritual preceptor (Guru).

Scientifically…

We all know that hydrogen and oxygen react with each other to form water. But when? Only when electricity is passed through them! Without electricity, the molecules of hydrogen and oxygen fail to react with each other. Likewise, bereft of the presence of the divine power of Guru, we cannot unite with God. This is an inviolable law formed and regulated by Nature itself. No one can alter or modify this law.

Literally…

If a blind man wishes to get his sight restored, he will have to take a proper trea tment from some eye specialist. No one can deny this fact. Not even the eye specialists! For the same reason, even Lord Rama, who Himself was God-incarnate, took shelter in the lotus feet of Guru Vashishth. In dwaapar yuga, Jagadguru Lord Krishna also accepted and appreciated the same law of nature. He too resorted to the shelter of sage Durvaasa-

रामकृष्ण ते को बडो, तिंहू भी गुरु कीन
तीन लोक के नायका गुरु आगे आधीन ॥

Therefore, when everyone paid heed to this dictum, dear readers, how can we ignore it? Deviating from this inviolable law, how can we sing and play our own self-composed song?

b. WHAT SORT OF GURU?

No doubt, there is no dearth of gurus in today's age. Rather, one can find a number of spiritual organisations and hermitages run by different gurus in every nook and corner. Nevertheless, the point of consideration is whether we should start following any of them as our guru. Are all of them perfect and true? Of course not! For, had they been perfect and true, our society would not have been in such a deteriorative, disordered, and displeasing state. So, what is the identifying criterion of a True Guru?
Here are the deep-rooted words from Shastras:

अखंड मंडलाकारं व्याप्तं येन चराचरम !
तत्पदं दर्शितं येन तस्मै श्री गुरवे नमः !!

The one who can make me behold the divine vision of the effulgent form of the Supreme- who is indivisible, all-pervading, dynamising the animate as well as inanimate; the one who can, manifesting His effulgence in the inner realms, make me perceive Him directly- I prostrate whole-heartedly to such a Guru; meaning, he alone is the perfect Master.

Therefore, a perfect master is the one who can show you God in the innermost chambers of your heart! In Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, it is advised in a very simple and easy-to-grasp script–

जे पुरखु नदरी न आवई तिस का कीआ करी कहीया जाई ! बलिहारी गुर आपने जिन हिरदे दिता दिखाई !!

I bow before such a guru who has shown the Supreme Lord in my heart.

A perfect master imparts a seeker with an inner eye while granting him Brahm Gyan (Divine Knowledge). He teaches him the technique of becoming introvert. Consequently, a seeker enjoys numerous, divine visions and experiences in his inner world.

You too can be one of those lucky ones…

Has a reflection upon the above evidences tendered your heart? In your heart pastures, has the great, virtuous thought of getting a Guru-shelter cropped up?

If NO, we would like to know which hurdle is still blocking your way to seek the benign shelter of a Perfect Master. Please post your views (along with your Email-id) in the space provided below. We would definitely try our best to sort out your queries in this regard.

And, if YES, then start your search for a true guru today only, while carrying with you the afore-mentioned touch stone for identifying a true guru! The one who passes this eligibility test (shows you the Light of Lord within) - start following him without any further thought! Bow before him! Sacrifice your all at the altar of his Lotus feet!

Also remember, during your search-odyssey, don't forget paying a kind visit to Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (Divine Light Awakening Mission). You are most welcome here! With full confidence, we assure you that here, definitely, you would be able to find the sparkling shine of pure gold. This is not ego! Rather pride and confidence! Not a temptation, rather an open declaration! You can find these rhymes in the voice of not just one but all the disciples of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji- 'We have seen divine light and never-ending mystical visions in our inner world, that too, instantly at the moment of initiation (Deeksha)! That's not all! We enjoy and relish such divine visions quite often while meditating…’
